Absolutely AWESOME

The craftsmanship is impeccable.

The people are great.

The hood is HUGE. It is overwhelming the first time you put it on, but you will love it the first time you need it. The temperature regulation it allows is amazing.

I will be buying more.

Love it!

Absolutely loving this! At first I wasn't sure about all the extra material around the neck/hood but after wearing it only a couple of times I see the incredible value this provides. It's like a built in scarf and protects from diriving wind, snow, whatever the conditions may be. Beautifully made. Thank you.

Craftsmanship that'll last a lifetime

After being fed up with buying overpriced jackets that are made on a budget on the other side of the world I was determined to find something that was made locally by people that care about their craft, which is how I found out about Micklagård.

This jacket is fantastic. As others have mentioned the wadmal fabric is super dense while still being soft and non-itchy. I've only had it for a week, but it has kept me warm at -20c and dry in heavy snow and rain. Wool is awesome.

The construction is top notch and it has all the features you'd want while keeping it fairly simple. A spacious hood that you can hide in and can easily adjust and a front pocket big enough to store your snacks and a few fire starters. I especially like the wool pile lined pockets, no need for gloves!

Because its 100% wool it also means that it's quite heavy and it being an anorak means you look a bit funny while struggling to take it off in a busy cafe.

The only real downside so far is that my jacket smelled quite a bit when I got it, like wool that has been in the closet for a few decades (which I read was actually the case here). Luckily there are a few tricks to fix this.

Thanks to everyone at Micklagård for creating this great piece! (193cm and 85kg, size M)

Just like the pants this anorak seems incredibly durable, soft, and the inside of the pockets are amazingly comfortable to put your hands in.

Solid like a real piece of kit you could depend on.

Love it!

The quality of this anorak is absolutely incredible. The craftsmanship is bar none. I love the kangaroo pouch style pocket as it has so much space to store whatever you need. I'm 5'11, 250 lbs stocky and I find the XXXL to be a little too big for me. I'm thinking to return it and get a size down as I feel that would be just perfect for me, but I'm not sure what the cost of return would be shipping back from US and if it would be justifiable to do so.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves doing outdoors activities during colder days of the year
